Sydney’s Best HSC Tutoring College

We are a high school and HSC tutoring college in Sydney. We provide weekly and holiday courses in Physics, Chemistry and Biology tailored for students of all levels, from those who want to catch up on course material to those hoping for state ranks and perfect ATARs. Our courses are presented by past HSC state-rankers who know how to succeed. More importantly, our presenters have years of tutoring experience and have perfected the art of teaching. In particular, we know the importance of exam and study techniques in achieving top marks. In addition to clearly teaching subject material, all of our tutoring courses include lessons on how to study effectively as well as specific exam skills for the HSC. Further, students complete hundreds of HSC practice questions and receive extensive feedback to refine their skills. We are committed to helping every student achieve their goals. Our blog has free HSC study and exam tips from our experience sitting and teaching the HSC. With our Q&A service, any student can ask a question about Physics, Biology or Chemistry and get an answer from our state-ranked teachers. Don’t just get a good mark, get a top mark with Top Marks Education.

TAILORED TEACHING MATERIALS

All teaching materials, homework sets and exam preparation materials are carefully designed by our tutors. We source past exam questions from top selective and private schools along with past HSC papers.

INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS

Each course includes a one-on-one workshop before a student’s school assessment where our tutor will help the student prepare

FREE LESSON

We now offer a free one on one lesson for HSC students where our tutor can visit you at home to deliver a lesson and showcase our teaching materials.

INTENSIVE COURSES

Our HSC courses consist of 9 lessons. We cover the whole module in the 6 lessons, so that we are 3 weeks ahead of school each term. The 7th lesson is revision of difficult topics. In the 8th and 9th, students sit our HSC-style exams and receive feedback.

What is an Equilibrium Reaction?

If you’re studying HSC Chemistry, you’ve probably started to encounter equilibrium reactions. From our tutoring courses in the summer holidays, I realised that this can be a challenging topic for many students. Hopefully this article will clear up misconceptions and cement your understanding of the concept.

HSC Physics: The Slingshot Effect

The slingshot effect is used by a spacecraft in increase its velocity. To do this, the spacecraft travels close to another moving object such as a planet or moon. As the craft moves away from the planet, it is travelling faster than when it started. However, it is vitally important to realize that its speed relative to the planet is unchanged, only its speed relative to the sun (and other planets orbiting the sun).

Biopolymers: Guide to a Band 6 Answer

Biopolymer questions are often a source of trouble for HSC Chemistry students. Every student should have a biopolymer which they can name and describe briefly, but often they don’t have enough information for a 5 or 6 mark question. This guide will make sure you are confident to answer any possible question on biopolymers.
